About The Hollow Reed School, Apothecary, and Wild Medicine Collective

My name is Chad Cornell, I'm the founder of this school and natural health centre. I've been studying, practicing, and teaching herbalism, mind-body therapy, and natural healing methods for over 20 years.
As a practicing Herbalist, I'm the main instructor and guide at The Hollow Reed School. Along with teaching, I've consulted thousands of people on their path of healing and self discovery over the last 2 decades. I enjoy integrating ancient wisdom, modern science, and the best of both the East and West. I'm deeply passionate about seeing people reconnect to their natural roots, and feel better in their daily lives.
As times are changing, we are in need of more well informed herbalists. More and more of us are seeking to deepen and share our knowledge about our traditional, sacred, and now scientifically backed healing foods and botanical medicines. It's now possibly more important than ever that we keep this knowledge alive for the next generations.

The Hollow Reed School
Our school is located in central Canada on the La Salle River, in the Province of Manitoba. We are located on an old monastery ruins heritage site, surrounded by medicinal plants, First Nations sweat lodges, and a Buddhist peace pagoda.
This is a truly sacred site where we see clients, teach, gather, and offer the highest professional quality natural remedies and services to our greater community. DEEPER LEARNING THROUGH BITE-SIZED MINI MODULES
~ We also offer a selection of learning modules to Deepen Your Wisdom in a Mini Series format. These include video lessons and suggested reading to help you on your journey of learning in both a digestible and affordable way.
~ All members will also be invited to retreats, plant walks, potlucks, and other live events!
This option is especially perfect for those longing to study and learn herbalism, and meet some like-minded people, but are not yet ready or able to commit to a deeper dive into full Herbalist Apprenticeship Training at this time.
We are a growing network and currently have students and members from across our planet; ranging from British Columbia, to the US, and Australia. All of which are enjoying learning and keeping the wisdom and living tradition of natural healing, holistic living, and herbalism alive and thriving in our times.
Integrative Herbalist Apprenticeship Program
The core of this project is the Integrative Herbalism Apprenticeship Program. We are all unique in our callings, the challenges we face, and the gifts that we carry. Some of us are deeply called to learn more about natural methods of healing. This is not just another online herbal course. You will be spending quality learning time live with an herbal instructor, Chad Cornell, that has been practicing herbalism successfully full-time for over 2 decades now.
The world needs more well trained herbalists, and we want our students to grasp the true essence of plant medicine, and how to practically apply natural healing modalities in our lives and the lives of others with confidence, professionalism and authenticity.
Integrative Master Herbalist Chad Cornell has created a genuine and highly unique planetary herbalism apprenticeship program. This 3 year apprenticeship program is designed for you to go at your own speed and emphasizes the importance of the student / teacher relationship as the foundation of the living tradition of herbalism.
Studying Herbalism is not just about memorizing information. It's a journey of deep relationship with the innate intelligence of nature, our planet, cosmos, and ourselves. It's learning timeless methods of non-linear ways of knowing and being that are precious and endangered in our time.
